Solid substances are brought into the valve, causing the solenoid valve to fail to close properly. The vast majority of electromagnetic valves cannot have any particulate matter brought into the valve, even small particles are not allowed. A customer once sent a DN100 water valve back to the factory from afar, requesting help with repairs. After we opened the valve, we found a small iron filings on the diaphragm. When it is removed, the valve body and accessories are cleaned from the beginning, and then tested from the beginning, the valve can function normally. We have seen small stones, raw materials, iron filings, and even cockroaches in the valves we sent back for repair.
Many times, the outer surface of the valve body is also subject to atmospheric corrosion, and steel materials are generally protected by painting. At the same time, fabric measures such as lead lining, aluminum lining, engineering plastic lining, natural rubber lining, and various synthetic rubbers are often adopted for corrosion prevention of valve bodies. Again, in situations where pressure and temperature are not high, using non-metallic materials as the main body of the valve can often effectively prevent corrosion.
The corrosion of valve bodies can take two forms, namely chemical corrosion and electrochemical corrosion. Its corrosion rate is determined by the temperature, pressure, chemical function of the medium, and the anti-corrosion ability of the valve body material. So when selecting materials, electromagnetic valve manufacturers need to consider many factors comprehensively.
Insufficient voltage causes the solenoid valve to not open properly. Especially for relatively low voltages such as DC24V, DC12V, and AC24V, it is necessary to ensure that the fluctuation amplitude of the voltage is within plus or minus 10%. If the power supply voltage is less than 10% of the additional voltage, it may cause the solenoid valve to not open properly.
